EAA - Now Enforced
The European Accessibility Act is now in force for PDFs.
Since 28 June 2025, the European Accessibility Act applies to in-scope services including banking, insurance, and financial services. PDFs such as statements, policies, and reports must now meet EN 301 549 accessibility standards. Accessibility remediation is a legal compliance requirement, not an optional improvement.
